Sweeney’s Irish Imports is located in Forty Acres, the traditionally Irish neighborhood on Wilmington Delaware’s westside.
We started our 15th year of operations on December 7, 2008 and we invite you to visit us during our 15th year in business. Operated by Leo John and Eileen Claffey Sweeney, Sweeney’s first opened its doors because there was no Irish shop in Nothern Delaware. Currently Sweeney’s is the only authentic Irish shop in Northern Delaware.
Sweeney’s is a gathering place for the Irish, and anyone who wants to be Irish, year round but especially on Saint Patrick’s Day. So we invite you to come to Sweeney’s, see our array of wonderful items and see what you can buy for your loved ones.
Locals; children working on an Irish school project; the local TV station; customers needing an Irish gift - all come to Sweeney’s Irish Imports.
